Mike Burnside

Mike manages our work across transportation, telecommunications, technology, and travel and tourism issues for multiple clients with an emphasis on policy driven outcomes. Prior to joining Elevate, Mike worked as a Policy Analyst at the American Fuel & Petrochemical Manufacturers (AFPM). At AFPM, Mike spent nearly four years advocating for public policies that promote growth and investment in the refining and petrochemical manufacturing industries to help drive the U.S. economy, add jobs, and increase energy security. 

Prior to his work at AFPM, Mike spent nearly eight years directing a hydraulic fracturing crew in various North American oil and natural gas fields. 

Mike is originally from Scranton, Pennsylvania and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Carnegie Mellon University and is currently pursuing a Master of Public Policy degree from George Mason University.
