(Washington, DC – 2/06/25) Elevate is excited to announce that Chris Leuchten has joined the firm as an Executive Vice President.
Chris was most recently the Deputy Chief of Staff and Legislative Director for former Senator Kyrsten Sinema (I-AZ). Chris has a proven track record of securing bipartisan wins throughout his career. Chris has served as a lead staffer on several important pieces of legislation, including the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, CHIPS and Science Act, and Inflation Reduction Act. Chris also coordinated Sen. Sinema’s work as a member of the Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee and the Senate Appropriations Committee. Chris previously served as an aide to former Senator Mark Begich (D-AK) and was a regulatory attorney in private practice.
“From directing negotiations on artificial intelligence and the Federal Aviation Administration reauthorization to guiding former Sen. Sinema’s engagement on tax and energy tax credit proposals, Chris has demonstrated his abilities to manage key policy issues through engagement with both sides of the aisle and we are excited to add him to our team,” said Co-Founder Sam Whitehorn.
Chris brings an excellent understanding of complex regulatory issues. His experience across the policy landscape including transportation, intellectual property, the energy regulatory apparatus, technology and more will contribute across the board to Elevate’s clients.
“I have always respected the stellar team at Elevate, and I am beyond excited to join the firm,” Leuchten said. “Elevate has an outstanding reputation of delivering for clients, and I look forward to using experience gained from my 15 years on Capitol Hill and as a regulatory attorney to further strengthen and expand the firm’s capabilities.”
Chris attended Boston College for his bachelor’s degree and received his Juris Doctor from the New York University School of Law.
Chris joins Michelle Richardson, Senator Roger Wicker’s (R-MS) former Chief of Staff, who started earlier this month with Team Elevate. Their experience and skills will be invaluable to our team as Elevate navigates the dynamic landscape of the federal government on behalf of its clients.
