2023 Senate Committee Predictions

The November midterm elections are quickly approaching, and all eyes are on how the results will impact the Senate’s razor-thin 50-50 divide. While the Cook Political Report only expects 11 of this year’s 35 Senate races to be competitive, Republicans need only capture one Democratic seat to regain the Senate majority. The retirements of seven long-time senators – Patrick Leahy (D-VT), Richard Shelby (R-AL), Jim Inhofe (R-OK), Richard Burr (R-NC), Roy Blunt (R-MO), Rob Portman (R-OH), and Pat Toomey (R-PA) – will also heavily impact the 118th Congress.
